what do you see?

Uh oh, there've been some changes to our plans...! The apartment basically fell through because when we came to sign the contract, there were a lot of extra charges and strange clauses that we hadn't been told about before...So anyway, we're still moving this weekend, but only to the old teacher's apartment for a month (back to the original plan basically!). And we're back to square one with looking for a permanent place...on a positive note, the weather's still nice and the countryside is still very beautiful!

Well, we've found a new apartment which we should be moving into next weekend. It looks very dodgy on the outside, but inside it's really nice, newly renovated (or "reform" as they say here), and created by joining 3 small apartments together. We'll be the first tenants in there. So anyway I'll be sending out the usual address/contact details e-mail early next week when everything's finalised.

Weather is still quite warm here, and we had tons of rain yesterday - the tail end of a typhoon which hit the rest of Japan pretty hard. Hmmm, the only other news is the visit of the Beckham's to Tokyo at the moment. The driving is still slow but enjoyable.

Hi, sorry about the lack of updates, but we still are on dial-up access...we will be until July, when we move to our new (final!) apartment and get our high-speed access back...

We're doing OK, getting used to driving (SLOWLY - maximum speed here is 50km/h, maybe 35mph) and everything else. More later...
